On Friday KC and KW went for a little walk to the local fruit shop. We looked at lots of fruit and vegetables and we all shared the names of the different foods in Mandarin, Korean and English. No matter what their names we all like to eat them!

We used lots of different vegetables to make our vegetable creatures. Some of them looked funny but none of them were scary!

We were thinking about ‘V’ words this week and thought of volcano. It was ‘Science Week’ so we watched a very exciting video about an erupting volcano in Hawaii and then Mrs Collins made one for us.

Mrs Kelly showed Kindergarten how to make butter. It was interesting watching the cream slowly get thicker and turn into butter. When we tasted it we all thought it was delicious!

This week we are interviewing our dads and then sharing this news with our classmates. Lots of our dads grew up in other countries so we thought it would be great to go and see where they used to live. We used Google Earth to search the world so we could visit lots of other countries.

KC and KW children learnt how to make damper. Damper is often made when you go camping in the bush. It is a little like bread and it is very easy to make. We had fun mixing and playing with the dough and EVERYBODY loved eating it too. Why not try making it at home!

Lots of parents came to visit us on Wednesday because it’s Education Week. They came to our classrooms and we showed them our work and they looked in our books too. We danced the ‘Peppermint Twist’ and ‘We Go Together’ and played a game of captain ball. We taught the mums and dads the ‘Dinosaur Dance’ and everybody had lots of fun!
