We like to learn how to draw. It’s important to listen to the instructions and it helps us know all about shapes, position, size and sometimes new words too. We recorded our lion drawing lesson on the Smartboard so the children at Korean lessons could come back and draw one too. Can you draw a lion now?

When we were thinking about “O” words we thought of octopus. We looked at the 3S class blog and the octopus pictures painted by Year 3 and then we watched this fantastic Youtube video of the giant octopus. We had a great discussion about these animals and learned lots of new things. We wrote stories about Octopus and made a friendly paper one as well!

KM children have been learning all about themselves and their friends. We know that sometimes we do and like things that are the same as others but sometimes we don’t and that makes us different. We drew some self portraits and wrote a little story. We like our friends and we like ourselves because we are all special!

On Tuesday we walked down to our local oval for our special sports day. It was a lovely, sunny Winters day and we had lots of fun at the activities. We played alongside the Year 1 and Year 2 children. At lunchtime, after all the fun, we walked back to school. We were all a bit tired in the afternoon. Thank you to all the mums and dads who came along and helped the teachers.

Mrs Collins is our Kindergarten ESL teacher. Sometimes she comes into our classrooms to help with reading and writing and other times she works with children who need extra help with their English. Mrs Collins and a group of children have been making avatars on the computer. The children talked about themselves and then wrote a little story. You can look and listen and even talk to them on this Voicethread.
