On Friday KW made their own sandwiches for lunch. We buttered our bread and chose to have jam, honey, cheese or Vegemite sandwiches. They tasted just great! Last week we juiced all the left over fruit from our fruit kebabs, froze it in trays and then had real fruit iceblocks the next day. We are learning to make healthy choices.

KW read Eric Carle’s “The Bad Tempered Ladybug” and then drew ladybug pictures using “KidPix”. We sang “The Ladybug Song” and showed our pictures at the K-2 assembly.

Everyone had fun cooking with their mums and dads and then sharing with us at news time. The children did a great job explaining how to make their cupcakes or jelly, fairy bread, orange ice, fried bean curd and rice, strawberry milkshake, toast, pancakes and lots of different kinds of biscuits. Some children brought in their special food to share with their classmates. On Friday KW children brought in their fruit and we made our fruit kebabs. Thankyou to Daniel and Euh-Jin’s mums and Reece’s grandmother for preparing all that fruit! What a fruity feast it was!

Our Spring Fair is only a few weeks away and our school needs a few more helpers!  Can you spare half an hour or so to help out Mrs W at the hotdog stand? No special skills are required! Maybe you could help out on another stall? The school newsletter lists all the stalls that need helpers. Talk to your child’s teacher or MrsW, leave a message at the office or send us a message via Kinderclips-come and join in the fun!

Each week Ms Leitch, the deputy principal, visits Kindergarten at assembly time to choose the “Sparkle Class”. The “Sparkle Class” has the most children in full and correct school uniform. It’s a difficult job because so many of the children try hard to look their best. This week KB has again been chosen to keep the  award and they are very proud of themselves! Who will it be next week!

We thought of lots of describing words for bubbles and made a Wordle of them all. Can you read all our bubble words?
