KW’s buddies in 5D have been working hard writing a  book for us to share. They wrote a children’s version of the survival novel “Hatchet” by Gary Paulsen and included lots of clever drawings and collage to make it interesting. They read their stories to us and we talked about the pictures and then we had lunch together. One day soon we will be able to write long stories too!

We collected all our coins and joined them end to end to make a chain.

It took a long time because some children brought in lots and lots of

silver coins. We measured our chains to see how long they were.

KD  3.5 metres

KB  7.3 metres

KC  11.3 metres

KW  12.3 metres

Thank you to all the children and parents who sent money for the Kuda School.

KD did some measurement activities in mathematics. We filled containers with various items, and tried to solve the problem – “Which container holds the most?”  Have a look at us in action.

KD was very lucky to have a visit from some of Mrs Callan’s ESL students who showed us a game they had made. They explained the rules of the game very clearly and patiently to us so we could easily understand how to play. We had a great time trying to catch as many socks as possible in one minute, using a magnet on a string.  Thanks Mrs Callan, Sarah, Alice, Kevin and Malika!

Emily brought in a lemon and a lime for l,l,l…..week.  So KW decided to make some real lemonade using lemons. We mixed lemon juice and sugar with soda water to make our lemonade. Everyone agreed that it was better than bottled lemonade!
