Parents are reminded that there is no playground supervision of students after 3.10pm. For their safety, students should go home immediately after school finishes or be directly supervised by a parent. If a parent is running late to pick up a child the school should be contacted. Students are reminded to go to the school office if parents do not arrive to collect them at 3.10pm.
The Art Show last week was a wonderful event, with lots of families coming along to celebrate public education, get together with friends and view our student’s creative work on display. Congratulations to the families who bought art work during the auction.
Our first Spring Fair mufti day last week was a great success. You can still donate books, CD and DVDs by leaving them at the office. This week, the Spring Fair mufti day is for the cake stall. Children can wear plain clothes instead of their regular school uniform on Mufti Day and in exchange, are asked to make a Gold Coin donation.
Spring Fair is only a couple of weeks away. If you can help in anyway, your time would be greatly appreciated. You can volunteer at Signup.com.
Term 3 Principal and Parents Morning Tea
Dear Parents of Students in Years 4 and 5,
I would like to extend a warm invitation for you to join us on Thursday 24th August at 9.30 am in the school library for our Principal and Parents morning tea (PPMT).
This term the morning information session will be focusing on our local public high schools and what they have to offer our students upon their completion of Year 6.
Each high school in our area has activities and curriculum highlights that would be appealing to many of our students and we will appreciate the opportunity to hear more about the programs that are pertinent to the various schools.
You will hear a brief presentation from some of the local high schools, including information such as their location, enrolment numbers and the various sporting, music and extracurricular opportunities available.
This valuable information may help you make important decisions about your child’s further educational possibilities in the public system.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Mrs J. Eadie
Deputy Principal (R)
